TrustRoute Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 26th September 2026
By creating an account on TrustRoute, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them before signing up.
1. What TrustRoute Is
TrustRoute is a platform that connects verified individuals travelling the same commute route to arrange carpooling on a cost-sharing basis. TrustRoute is not a transport operator, taxi service, or aggregator cab service, and does not own, operate, or control any vehicle listed on the app. TrustRoute does not employ car owners or drivers.
2. Who Can Use TrustRoute
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must provide accurate personal details and complete identity verification (Aadhaar eKYC, official email, and — for car owners — Driving License and Vehicle RC) through TrustRoute's verification process.
- You are responsible for keeping your login and account details secure.
3. Permitted Use
TrustRoute is intended only for genuine carpooling between office commuters on a shared-cost basis. You agree not to use the platform:
- To operate a commercial or for-profit taxi/cab service
- To post false, misleading, or duplicate trips
- To harass, threaten, or discriminate against any other user
- For any unlawful purpose
TrustRoute may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, including for repeated cancellations, fraudulent verification, or misuse of the platform.
4. Payments
All payments are made directly between the car owner and the rider via UPI. TrustRoute does not process, hold, or guarantee any payment, and charges no commission. Any payment dispute (non-payment, incorrect amount, refund) is a matter strictly between the car owner and the rider and is not TrustRoute's responsibility to resolve, though TrustRoute may provide relevant trip records to assist users in resolving it themselves.
5. Safety Features Are Aids, Not Guarantees
TrustRoute provides identity verification, SOS alerts, live trip tracking, ratings, and reliability scores to support safer trip decisions. These features do not guarantee the conduct, driving ability, vehicle condition, or safety of any user or ride. You are responsible for exercising your own judgment before accepting or joining any trip.
6. Disclaimer of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- TrustRoute, its owner(s), and operators are not liable for any accident, injury, death, loss, theft, delay, property damage, or dispute arising from a ride, trip arrangement, or payment made through the platform.
- TrustRoute is not a party to any agreement between a car owner and a rider. The arrangement to travel and to pay for that travel is solely between those two users.
- Any dispute between a car owner and a rider — regarding payment, conduct, cancellation, or any other matter — must be resolved directly between the users involved. TrustRoute is not obligated to mediate, arbitrate, or compensate either party, though it may assist administratively (e.g., providing trip/booking records) at its discretion.
- You use TrustRoute, and travel with other users, entirely at your own risk.
7. Cancellations
Car owners and riders must follow TrustRoute's cancellation policy (currently: owners may cancel a trip up to 10 hours before departure, and change timing or riders may cancel a seat up to 2 hours before departure). Cancellations outside this window are recorded and reflected in the user's public reliability score.
8. Your Data
Your Aadhaar, license, RC, and other verification details are collected only for identity verification, processed via a licensed third-party verification provider, and stored in line with the Aadhaar Act and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. TrustRoute does not sell your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
9. Account Suspension & Termination
TrustRoute may suspend or terminate any account, at its discretion, for violation of these Terms, fraudulent verification, repeated policy violations, or conduct that risks the safety of other users.
10. Changes to These Terms
TrustRoute may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute relating to TrustRoute itself (not between users) shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
